FAQs

What does the cost include?

$429 registration includes round trip transportation, daily meals at camp, fun activities and games (including rock climbing, pool, zipline, and more!), live worship, chapel time, and plenty more.

Scholarships/Payment Plans are available. To request either, please e-mail Pastor John Caputo, jcaputo@saddleback.com or call/text Pastor John directly: 949-278-1776.

Children are placed into cabins based on gender and campus. Cabins sleep 12 people- 2 leaders and 10 children. Cabins have bunk beds and a private bathroom/shower. Children bring pillows and sleeping bags to use on the beds.

While times are not exact, buses will depart around 1pm on Friday, June 20 from the Saddleback Lake Forest campus. Buses will return around 12pm on Monday, June 23. We will use text to communicate timing updates.

In the interest of safety and security, children must arrive and depart on the buses with their cabin.

Camp Counselors are a mix of active Saddleback Kids leaders, as well as parents of kids who are attending camp.

All camp counselors go through our leader onboarding process, which includes a background check, interview, training, and for adult leaders, fingerprinting. Counselor requests can be made during the registration process. As camp gets closer, you will be notified of your camp counselors and all children in your child’s cabin. If you’re interested in serving as a counselor, fill out the Counselor Application!

Friend requests can be made during your child’s registration process. We do our best to honor all friend requests, but early registration for both parties will help ensure friend requests can be met.

Your child will participate in live worship, chapel time, personal devotions, cabin connection, team competitions and free time/rec activities. Rec activities at Camp Pondo include (but are not limited to) a giant pool slide, a rock-climbing room, zipline, a giant swing, and tree climbing.  Breakfast begins at 8:30am. Lights out is no later than 10pm.

As camp gets closer, we will send you a list of required items for camp. We’ll also let you know your child’s team color, so that you can plan accordingly. If you need the list sooner, e-mail nextgenregistration@saddleback.com.

During your registration process, you will let us know about any medical needs, medications, or any allergies they have (including food allergies). The camp cook will accommodate food allergies. We also have a nurse who will be present for the duration of camp to distribute medications as well as be available.

Yes! Your child is welcome to invite a friend. Our hope for SK Summer Camp is that all children leave with a deeper relationship with Jesus.
